Air Quality Index (AQI)
Air Quality Index AQI is a numerical measure of air quality that relates to the negative health effects of poor air quality.
AQI measures the amount of air pollutants including ozone, large particles, carbon monoxide and byproducts of smoke.
AQI has a scale from 0 to 500. The larger the number, the more the risk a good AQI is lower than 50.
AQI was designed to be an easy to understand index of air pollution outdoors for those at risk. Following the guidelines for each number helps to minimize health consequences.
